John Failla, CEO of Tesoro Events, has a wealth of management experience as both a Publisher and Event Organizer. John continues to explore, study, and evaluate emerging business to business media models with a focus on virtual events.
Prior to starting Tesoro Events in 2007, John spent six years as Group President at VNU (Nielsen) Exhibitions where he was responsible for trade shows, publications and online services. During his tenure at VNU, John was recognized for his entrepreneurial leadership and was responsible for the development and successful launch of numerous tradeshows and conferences.
Before entering the tradeshow business, John was President of the Retail Group of VNU Business Media and Vice President Retail Media at Bill Communications. While in these roles, John developed and spearheaded the successful launch of a series of trade shows under the “eRetailing” brand in North America and Europe.
Prior to joining Bill Communications, John spent fifteen years at Lebhar Friedman, Inc. where as Vice President Publisher of Discount Store News, he developed and launched the DSN Conference Group
John began his career in Procter & Gamble’s sales management program where he learned the fundamentals of consumer products marketing and sales management.
An authority on business media brand development and launching events, Failla has been a featured speaker at domestic and international conferences during the last ten years speaking on media brand development and launching events.
